The US seized almost $7 Billion of Afghani funds after leaving the nation to rot at the hands of the Taliban

The internet has a lot to say about Islamophobia, but when it’s at the hands of their western left front, or when the Democrats steal Muslim money, it stays quiet.

Context: The US seized almost $7 Billion of Afghani funds after leaving the nation to rot at the hands of the Taliban. Here, I am not even commenting on their decision regarding or how sloppy the withdrawal was. However, there’s something more one needs to talk about.

The US invaded Afghanistan to dismantle al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda, which had executed the September 11 attacks, the US thus took it upon itself as revenge or whatever may one call it, to deny it a safe base of operations in Afghanistan by removing the Taliban government from power.

However, after Biden got elected as the President, the decision to let go of this string was finally taken, and millions of lives which were at stake were immediately destroyed. Let’s not talk about the Morality of the US government here, but one important question is do they get to seize Afghani money and use it for the US people?

Biden has announced that only half of the $7 Billion will be released and the rest will be used for US 9/11 survivors. Does the US not have its own damage control and disaster management system, or do they not have its own funds?

My question here is the silence of mainstream media, the same media that leaves no chance to blame and shame developing countries of Islamophobia for anything and everything, what’s the reason behind their silence on the issue?

I would like to point out a pattern here.

In 2003, President Bush ordered the Treasury Department to seize more than $1.4 billion in Iraqi government money frozen in U.S. banks. The US did the same when it got involved in Yugoslavia and Albanian matters and NATO bombed the state. The US seized over $200 million of Yugoslavia’s government money.

The question here is what is keeping the mainstream media from questioning the intent of The US being the nosy bully and seizing assets of nations it has given up on, in the name of saving them from the same terrorists. The world is paying the price for all the wars the US has lost over the years. Surprisingly (not so) this won’t count as Islamophobia, no matter if Muslims are the ones who suffered the most because of the US. Talk about stereotyping and white supremacists in the western media.
